The year is 2023 and we still have people arguing this. Can you at least try to be creative with your critique of bitcoin instead of this lame one?

Hard to derail a thread when almost no meaningful conversations take place outside of tiny subreddits. Most of reddit is just parroting the same complaints over an over and using any content to justify their “opinion”.

Yes… its the bible quote not justifying the execution of a person. It’s beyond amazing to me how dense some people are.

Who knows but i already deleted all my accounts and delete the comments earlier this year. The site is only good for finding reviews on products but companies figured that out and game it now as well. I hope reddit dies if for no other reas

Pretty bad take overall. I understand your sentiment. I really do. However we will always have people in exploitable situations. If it’s not poor kids it’s people running from extreme poverty in another part of the world or just falling on

That sounds great if we want to rebuild our entire road infrastructure. So using this for self driving will never happen since it would require every country to implement a very costly standard. Sounds great in practice but isn’t realistic

Normally by convincing VCs that the company is worth the money of your inflated salaries and after X years they will make it back. Not many people out here are investing out of good will.

Honest question. What good does that do? It’s a company they aren’t here to make you feel better. They are treating you like an adult by giving you a nice severance package. I don’t understand the need for people to have companies admit the

The letter seems to have two audiences. Investors and employees. It’s easy to criticize this stuff but i have yet to see HN provide any valid feedback in these threads outside of criticizing past decisions of the CEO.

No it’s that for all the bullshit happening when you go through the legal process such as background checks, interviews, medical exams, expensive filling fees, interviews in other countries in some cases. You can just walk up the border ski

Great links. I can tell you what actual happens though outside of the small amount of bad cases that end up in the news. I’m not getting anything i said above from news it’s literally how it worked for 5 different people i personally know.

I know several people who can gone through the “asylum” process. It’s not the hell fox news tells you about in 99% of cases. But you won’t see how easy the real process is on the news because it would really piss off both sides. Additionall

It is and it effects the families going through it as well. It took me a year to get back to normal productivity after the stress of my wife going through the process and it took her longer than that to start being able to sleep well again.

It’s impossible to reason with anyone from SF who thinks the city isn’t that bad. Reality is most large cities are absolute trash now. But at least where i live i can talk with people who aren’t living in some reality distortion field
