I’ve personally come to the conclusion that the vast majority of sci-fi is sci-fantasy for the simple reason that I can’t convince myself fleshy humans have any meaningful place in the exploratory parts of the future. Novels featuring human

Bypassing the door locks is not as difficult as you think with the proper tools. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLy65ASXuEQ Standard house locks don't require picking at all - you can bump them in a few seconds i

If you watch the videos that only provide entertainment, you're creating demand for more of that content. If you go out of your way to find and watch videos that provide more than entertainment, you'll get more of those instead. A

The comma placement makes the glue answer a bit strange, but I'm interpreting it to mean glues are no-go unless the manufacturer provides a solvent and re-gluing kit as well. Full text from [1] (emphasis mine): > A portable battery

A lot of these seem to fall into the "Management Philosophy" category - applicable if you're a manager or if you are attempting to manage your own career as opposed to solving day-to-day task issues.

This seems kind of like a twist on the classic 5 Whys method of root cause analysis. I think 5 Whys would work just as well in most of the example scenarios. Example from the post: Engineer is thinking about doing a thing without permission

That's fine for the outer pieces, but the ones they mount into have dovetails on both inner crescents. I can't see how you could turn those on a lathe without some weird offset going on.

Does anyone know how the dovetails of the individual jaw pieces are machined on a curved surface? I can’t figure it out even using a 4 or 5 axis CNC.

Universities like Harvard typically like to market themselves as being the height of meritocracy, going so far as to proudly declare their miniscule acceptance rates. It's hard to square that with a very obvious preference for students

I'll offer another point in support of your experience. I purchased the non-US Sensodyne, verified it had Novamin, used the entire tube as directed with no water drinking for at least half an hour afterward, and saw zero results.

Ok, but then how can you compare that to other countries to say the US is higher/lower? I haven't been able to find a unified source of raw interest payments by country (not as a % of revenue).

I think this is a good outlook, but I disagree on a few points: 1) The US could easily lower its debt load significantly, probably without over-impacting GDP. It's just that doing so would be unpopular with certain groups. [1] is a gre
