Cool tool! A couple of questions: -can you set this to automatically trigger for high risk transactions? -how do you flag the user as "ok" for charges in stripe? -do you need to disclose random charges to the customer? -are these

You should want (good) software in cars. It's one of the core drivers of safety improvements that reduce the rate of fatalities, and the only realistic method of continuing to make cars safer.

I love PGs essays, but his take on Robert George is the opposite of what Robert George was saying. PG: "He's too polite to say so, but of course they wouldn't." Robert George from the quoted tweet: "Of course, this

If you want humans to become a space faring people, you need to accept the idea that there will be at least 1000x more things in space. People's comments here are generally insane to me. Let's go to other planets. Let's build

Id like to see a concerted effort for America to regain number one status and ensure we stay ahead of China. To do that ideally we need more people. Ideally something like 100M of the brightest in the world. IMO the easiest way to do that i

I'm very locked down, so interesting I volunteered for a challenge study but not this one (as I am unlikely to catch covid so a bad fit). The ideal group here are people at high risk of getting it.

The bigger issue here is how expensive credit card processors are for such little value. The Visa MasterCard Amex oligopoly should be broken up. The value we get from having an additional 2-3% sales tax is very low, and only kept in place b

I think UBI is an essential concept and believe will be no way around it in some fashion. That said, "AB testing" it is really hard. The real idea behind UBI (for most advocates) is that it is a living wage granted for a very long

Human challenge studies need to be seriously lined up right now as a part of phase III work. (Human challenge studies mean giving people the full vaccine dose, checking for antibodies, then giving a dose of the actual disease). The consensu

Housing costs are not up because of Airbnb, they are up because of government regulation. If we wanted housing to cost to buy a house in the US to be $100k average, we could do it almost overnight by lifting regulations unrelated to safety.

I hope Humanity grows many orders of magnitude larger and expands across the galaxy. The universe will be a more interesting place. Some people here are saying this is good for the environment. Having 20% fewer people won't do that. Cl
