We don't need testing to figure out of we are at herd immunity. We know we are not, because the virus is spreading still and increasing speed now. It is only really an issue amongst unvaccinated. This population is basically anti-vax,

I thought about this case more and the root issue appears to be pensions. They create a situation where someone will do a job they don't want to, not because they are forced but because their entire retirement relies on it. Pensions ar

They weren't forced to work though. Conflating optional decisions with force is dangerous. If they have better alternatives, they should do those. If they believe that by stopping work, they can get change from their employer, go for i

Makes more sense to issue a stay at home order if you don't have the vaccine. I can think of many better policies than this, which will likely just undermine the vaccine and not provide significant protection. Or just let kids take it?

Historical rate of improvement is significantly faster. 50% improvement in energy density over 10 years would be more conservative than most estimates, which range considerably but none I could find were worse than that: https://

Why the heck have we still banned children from getting the vaccine? This article doesn't address this 1 time, and this is IMO the most important issue related to covid today. Quite frankly, I don't care if anti-vaxers get COVID (

Right now in the US the biggest travesty is: (1) we have a large anti-vax movement that hasn't let us get to herd immunity. (2) the government has banned those under 12 from taking the vaccine. This creates a situation where now the on

I don't love this solution to the problem. This doesn't help anyone paying cash for services, and it really just invests more into the current broken system. I think the solution is that all healthcare providers must provide upfro

While I certainly agree fission is great, I think fusion is a great thing to work on if you are concerned about climate change. Specifically, it's the type of thing that would likely enable cheap carbon removal.

My feedback was that I could not find an example, with a sidebar on mobile at all. There was a hamburger button on the bottom, but it just pulled up a menu for marketing. For example, the user guide appeared to be 1 page, no menu/table

Wow, we haven't used Github for years because it was missing this feature. I saw the new beta and looked if they supported cross-repo issues, and was disappointed. Turns out, they do? They just make it very hard to discover? Odd. Seems

To clarify, in some jurisdictions in the US, businesses cannot represent themselves. Which is a travesty for companies like this guy, who doesn't even have that as an option. I don't actually know about patent law, I just have had

As a counterpoint, I prefer a world where comments are not overly policed. I believe it stifles creativity, and I think comments like yours harm not help the community by making people less comfortable sharing.

It actually doesn't take long to have high confidence vaccines work. Roughly 30 days. Day 1- inject vaccine. Day 15 - infect virus. Day 30 - know it works. Human challenge studies were a ethical no brainer. Even other studies if we gra
