Memory manufacturers all use heavy testing to both test designs and to weed out bad chips. This seems to be a weakness in these tests and should have been caught. Row-hammering is no different than applying test vectors. I'm sure thos

This seems like it would be useful for education. I don't see how it helps reading, which is the purpose of highlighting source code.

The last geeky conference I went to, Github's Atom conference, I saw virtually nothing but Macbooks. I've even seen a presentation by Microsoft given on a Macbook.

I am tired of FUD stories about how broad a patent is. Patent claims are organized as a series of claims with each claim narrower than the one before. Patents are always written with the first claims extremely broad and are not expected t

Why are people so concerned with what is built-in vs contributed? On the Atom repo people continually post that an add-on package should be built-in even though it takes seconds to install and doesn't even require a reload.

I have noticed before that most of the home automation sw available on the web is in python. I wonder if there is a reason.

Awesome. Now I just have to convince them that all my home HW is for open-source and my time is very valuable.

It left out the first most important part, the script writing. Amazon released a movie script editor on the web, the storywriter, just for people to use to submit scripts to them.

It is kind of fascinating that my votes are going up and down rapidly. Apparently it is a battle of up-voters vs. down-voters. I must have hit a touchy subject. P.S. I apologize for all the posts. I'll tone it down now.

The view from the leaning motorcycle was awesome. I took it for granted that stabilization meant seeing it from the vantage of the rider, so seeing it from the aspect of an external viewer was a bit shocking and really cool.

I take it personally which I know I shouldn't. I think others are the same. You can tell when people say "Why was I downvoted?!". Everyone wants peer approval. Also you get the same feeling you get when you are being denigrat

I remember the stupid marketing term gamification from a few years back. It was the "in" thing and my boss wanted games everywhere that promoted the product. Luckily that has gone away as far as I know. But this is a great case
