Nice review - I made the mistake of reading the 1 star reviews for the same book. Incredibly irritating. A book with goofy elephants, jelly stains and a ludic Socratic exposition is not everyone's cup of tea - I get that. But the fact that

That is really decent of you. I am on the wrong side of the Atlantic to take advantages of your services or else I would ask permission to send on my CV. All in all I have found my contact with recruiters to be helpful in a few ways. The sh

I thought techiferous made a good point - but in many cases the direct contact with the company might re-direct you to the recruiter. I am not sure how it is working in London area but it seems to me that many of the financial firms in NYC

Nice, very nice. There are a lot of good critiques in the comments and I might agree with some... But my initial gut reaction was 'yes - I get what this is and like the basic design...' I would imagine in time links to the actual HN discuss

In 1996 I helped startup a branch of a company in Seoul. We had a number of help wanted ads for office staff that got a lukewarm response until we put the phrase "married women welcome to apply". Seemingly overnight we got very talented app

US has the best players at every position in basketball, hands down. Not quite the same in baseball but you could produce a dominant American team. But might not have the best team always. I think there has been a decline in US baseball and

Basically true that baseball is US, Caribbean, Korean and Japan. But some interesting players from Mexico, Canada, Australia and Europe belie some spread. Frankly I would not think it could spread... I like the World Baseball Classic and I

This is not completely accurate. Korean culture had basically no Western contact before the 1870s. There are Korean and Chinese accounts (ie Chinese envoy's accounts of Korean life) dating back to the 1100s describing Korean concepts of bea
