In some cases sure, but some things require management due to the nature of reality, and there is nothing to be done about it other than manage the problem. Take something banal such as DLP tools. There is no way to “solve” people stealing

I worked exclusively in Ruby for many years and this was never a problem I experienced. Or if I did it was such a non issue it was fixed and moved on. I can agree that the behavior of casting to a number type should probably be undefined. B
