There you go with that wrongthink. You’re on the wrong site buddy. In general these folks don’t care that illegal immigration disproportionately impacts native born poor and miniorities. They treat it as some kind of myth. They also act as

The world would be an overall much poorer and more brutish place without all of the businesses that have ever drawn feelings of consternation from the public.

This reminds me of ads they ran in the UK about domestic violence going up when a team lost a football match. I’m not sure what to make of it. Are we going to have an ad for any and every generic stressor in this life? If a report card or s

During my time as a student I felt that the computer science department should have been split into two disticnt programs. The first program should have existed in the math department dealing with the theory and mathematics of computation.

It seems like it is currently Ruby's turn to take a beating just like Java before it. I guess people relentless hate on Java even to this day, so maybe it will never get much better. But Ruby certainly holds a special place in my tool

Bingo. The establishment media is so desperate to control the narrative of this. For the longest time they kept beating the drum of “gas tax protests” to downplay other less flattering issues. Well, the gas tax was abandoned but the problem

Per capita is a BS way to look at it. If US emissions are growing at 0.5% per year then there is nothing to do. It will take 140 years to double and the natural progression of technology will easily solve the problem. Solar and other renewa

That is a pretty staggering amount of uncertainty. The US for example looks like it could be anywhere from 0.5% to 4.5%. That is something I would like to know with more certainty before undertaking any major public policies. From a simple

Why is it commonly assumed that "our system is broken"? What is the evidence for it? Do people consider the evidence against it? Usually not. It is very easy to fixate on things which could be better, and completely ignore things

There are a lot of people that contract full time for a single client, so that number could still be misleaded. At least to me anyway. I would not consider those people to be freelancing.

Care in the US is quite good, but the billing is the most opaque thing imaginable. I went in for a skin biopsy and got a bill from 3 different people. Why? I don't take my car to the shop and get a bill from 3 other shops in town. Ridi
