Financing is a cancer upon many industries, and cars are no exception. If we really cared about poor people we would seriously reform the dealer system, outlaw predatory sales and lending tactics, and seriously curtail the parameters on aut

Yes the fed has been fairly transparent that they intend to raise unemployment via higher rates in order to combat inflation. Well unemployment is still very low and inflation is still relatively high. Perhaps they will decide to do another

Right, it's extremely unlikely that prices will ever go down in aggregate, unless we have a very long and sustained deflationary period.

The fact that 6.x% year over year is interpreted as some kind of victory is comical. Last year it was 7.x%. This year it is 6.x%. Exactly how long are people on the bottom rung of the economic ladder expected to hold on until inflation is b

The ABL was a megawatt class laser and when they cancelled it the reasoning was that it would need to be 10x more powerful for the mission. They wanted to knock out ICBMs during the boost phase from a considerable distance. This one is much

I think that's the part that many naysayers don't appreciate. When the average family is already under incredible pressure it does not take much to trigger a deep recession. Even if one or two percent of people lose their job righ

Many people feel fine right up until the point they get diagnosed with a terminal illness. The point being, this would be like going to the doctor and having high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, etc. etc. The patient can

Record high credit card balances, record low personal savings, 40 year high inflation, rising interest rates and no sign of the fed stopping. Housing affordability at its lowest point since the real estate bubble and crash of 07/08. Yo

Maybe they put it poorly, but COVID was a huge windfall for many people. Aside from the stimulus checks (which for many people totaled more than $1800) you had people taking advantage of PPP "loans", extended and expansive unemplo

Yeah it’s a bit disappointing, but I’m not surprised. Regardless of whatever it turns out to be, it should be earnestly looked in to and documented. And if it turns out to have some national security implication then just acknowledge that y

Have to agree. Seems like we took a big risk using the F22 for this. I was expecting a super hornet or f15 to get the call on this one. At the same time, maybe we know that the balloon has no capabilities in this regard and decided to flex.

I don’t know why. Most businesses work on projects that are not strictly related to the core product. Imagine how much cheaper your iPhone would be if you weren’t subsidizing apple car, augmented reality research, etc.
