As a recent adopter of Svelte, these changes are intriguing but I don't really have a grasp of how I feel about it quite yet. One thing that I am definitely happy to see is the removal of $: as it should help Typescript users. Person

Ignoring whether or not this would decimate legitimate site usage, I'm not even sure that requiring payment for access will solve the bot issue; those who are pushing a lot of the terrible bot spam and scams are also in the same group

Wipeout was great, but I always preferred playing Extreme-G on the N64. I know the source for the third game in the series was leaked, but I'm still waiting for the original!

This is incredibly depressing news. Kris Nova will be missed dearly and remembered fondly.

Unfortunately assuming this doesn't mean that we start producing more CO2 since we'd have an effective method of curtailing runaway CO2 production. Instead of reversing, we may just end up slowing down the rate of increase.

I like Phind, but I feel like the quality of results I've been getting has been steadily dropping over the past few months.

According to the US census, roughly 3M undocumented people own a home and there are approximately 144M housing units total. So, ~2% of the market is from the undocumented. Additionally, less than half of the entire undocumented population

I have good news for you then-- there already is some experimental[0] work towards this, under the name of "pattern types" (although I believe it's on pause at the moment). The idea seems to be to pull some of the pattern sem

I'd absolutely love to switch to Paddle, the product seems great. Unfortunately, my business is a marketplace which I don't believe Paddle supports. Happy to be wrong on that though! Are there any plans to have a marketplace offer

While we're talking about Stripe alternatives, anyone have a good Stripe Tax alternative? Their pricing is actually insane as they charge per API call rather than transaction amount. That sort of pricing made sense for TaxJar because i

As you're well aware, there were a series of articles written about this[0][1] which were popular on HN a few years back. This is well documented, reproducible, and done in good faith. Now, I just want to make it clear that my exact wo

It's hilarious to read things like: ”[Threads] is not a free speech platform." Where the implication is that Twitter is, somehow, more free-speech oriented. A company which since the acquisition: - suspended journalists without vi
