Not sure about 1Password, but I am using Bitwarden free and there's no authenticator app. I just use Authy on Android, though, it works great

The best part about it for me is just the Intellisense (in Typescript). I'm using it on probably 3/5 lines that I write as a smarter version, but I rarely use it to do more than finish the current line I am writing.

It's the politicians that enable this behavior. How many Republican ads are of them shooting their political party's opponent?

I was just in Colombia, and now you can use Google Lens on Android to translate posters and menus. It misses a lot but is "good enough" and you can even download languages for use offline.

A good book on this topic is Coders at Work. It is just a bunch of interviews with 15 OGs including Donald Knuth and Douglas Crockford.

My guess is none of them will ever replace Node.js, but they will all help shift the momentum of Node.js to be faster, better support for Typescript, etc. Similar to how folks created io.js at one point and that eventually got merged back i

It would be neat if people could post or request a reward on Github issues. Maybe it's a maintainer-only feature, since they have to sign off on the final value. This would enable a way to post requests for work without having to open

I like having only one remote with my TV. I get minor anxiety when at other people's houses and they have 3-4 remotes or more, and usually only one person knows what they all do (the one that had to set it all up).

I'll be an anecdote: I literally only came back because of CSS3 and jQuery. Managing layout with tables and all hover effects with javascript did not sound like a fun career choice when I first started. And now I've fully embraced

As CEO, you get to decide if you have to hide things or not. And if you do, everyone underneath you will also hide things, and then everyone has to come to you for anything. I call this "hub and spoke" leadership. It's extrem

At least 10% of web dev today is being good at search prompts for Google. (And that's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just about finding the right tool or pattern for your specific problem)

For sure. I have a bachelor's in Fine Arts but taught myself to code. I think the pendulum has swung too far, I need to get back to painting/drawing and exercise that muscle again :)

If you're using React, check out Material UI. I was a big fan of Bootstrap, but I didn't like that there was still so much for me to build. MUI comes with components for things like user avatars out of the box. But it doesn't

Especially if you're a product-focused startup, the last thing you may actually need is an enthusiast for a language. 90% of the time you want people that just want to use the right tool for the job.

That's easy to fix - young but also with experience. I don't know why we don't have some sane speed bumps for people that have political aspiration. Don't let judges be appointed if the bar deems them "unfit."
