Have we learned nothing of mythologizing these tech people? That sentence, structured to make this executive seem super human, is a lot of what is wrong about SV. Putting consulting/finance showmen (and women) above true innovators.

What surprises me about these stories surrounding openAI is how they apologize while lying and downplaying any blame. Do they expect anybody to believe they didn’t know about clawback clauses?

Pointing out a phallacy is not an ad hominem. It’s attacking the argument, literally.

I’m not on the same boat, NTHSA has found Tesla’s Autopilot linked to increased accidents with “safety issues with Tesla Autopilot contributed to at least 467 collisions and 14 deaths from January 2018 through August 2023”. They have done a

So they found 488 million vulnerable locations and the solution is that users should rename them individually? This is Apple and Google’s vulnerabilities.

From my personal experience, macOS will default to Apple Music even when there is a Spotify song on pause or a YouTube video open. They’re using “default to” as an effective nudge mechanism towards their moat.

Have you seen the announcement? The voice is not 100% the same but the mannerisms and the flirty tone are spot on. https://x.com/OpenAI/status/1790072174117613963

DALL-E replicates artist’s lifestyle with no regard to copyright. Sora is doing the same on YouTube videos. It blocks queries like “in the style of Wes Anderson” but it still uses that as training data and generating content.

I couldn’t take more than 10s of that. It’s so cringey and for some reason trying to be sexy? Like why would I want a bot to flirt with me while I’m trying to get information?

Here in Brazil we have voltages in different regions but we also have different voltages inside the home. My washer has its separate 220v circuit while the rest of the home is 110v.
