There has been a set of buttons available for a while from a popular aftermarket vendor ( https://abstractocean.com/products/s3xy-buttons ) that interface through the OBD2 port. There is a good amount of reverse-engineer

You were making a really solid-sounding technical argument, but then you used the phrase "just needs to", which, for me, triggers a tendency to discard whatever the person is telling me.

https://www.youtube.com/@JJRicks has almost 200 videos of his Waymo rides at this point, and has probably captured everything one could hope to see them do.

What’s modal about it? I’m also in the “I’ve never wished my terminal were faster” camp. Certainly I’ve wished the things I run in it were faster, but that’s a different story. I split my time between macOS and ChromeOS, and I find it easie

These features are nice, but I've never liked the idea of having to use a whole new terminal application to get them. I may be becoming a dinosaur, but it's not that I'm not willing to try new things. On the contrary, after m

Don't worry, the WSJ is still perfectly happy to run things like https://archive.is/VYsHY , penned by someone who also claims smoking doesn't cause cancer.

You’re allowed to move on quietly. A comment complaining about it is such a poor use of the medium. This needs to be a reaction video.

This is not a particularly new direction for Apple. I just bought a Mac Studio and set it up today. Latest and greatest non-beta (Ventura 13.4.1). I'm not even trying to do anything particularly adventurous, just install a basic suite

I'm 48. I don't think age has anything to do with knowing the context behind this. From the other explanations, you apparently had to follow a very specific subculture dedicated to a specific individual. I did not, rather the oppo

Would anyone be willing to explain this? Who is "us", what is a PCL, what is a spool, what are these random words? Is this supposed to be a puzzle?

Your analysis is spot-on. Almost all of the other comments here are "I want X, so X is better. If you prefer Y, you're wrong and stupid."

Doesn't seem that way to me. I'm generally not opposed to jumping on the latest and greatest toy from Cupertino the second it comes out. And I'm a big fan of VR: I own two headsets now, but I was waiting for this announcement

If you read the whole thing, it's pretty clear they don't have the person's full name and address, and thus did not provide it. They do mention that it will be needed for organizations that sign up for billing when that featu

When I was stuck doing a web application in Java 15 years ago, I hated everything about it except for the deployment story, which boiled down to a single .war file being pushed to the server. When we upgraded to Perl, I liked that system so

Always start a programming interview by asking questions. You know there is exactly one duplicate in the list because you wouldn’t start coding without thinking about what the problem left unspecified and getting the interviewer to clarify.
