> how long do you expect the underlying older PHP basis to be supported You can keep software up to date without rewriting in another language, which is what Nextcloud did by the way, as it runs perfectly on my box with PHP 7.3.

Thank you for confirming that there is no "big rewrite" madness going on. I rely on Nextcloud daily and I was worried.

My concern is that those mechanisms that regularly fail in other domains, as we have seen time and time again in recent years, would also fail in this case. Are you able to explain why this specific case would be different?

The one about multi-cloud support is a valid point, I can remember quite a few times when companies I worked at chose products with multi-cloud support in order to avoid vendor lock-in. Regarding being careful about open sourcing: it is tru

Oh well if there are human reviewers then we can be sure there will be no abuse. After all, Youtube copyright strikes have never been abused thanks to the fact that there are human reviewers. Also, no app has ever been incorrectly removed f

I was curious so I checked it out. It's the website of an artist who makes pin-up style portraits. Some of the images might be considered mildly NSFW if you are in a very conservative environment. It seems the author promotes the conce

Yes you are right it was the stabilizer not the elevator. I knew that airliners have a stabilizer, but I wasn't familiar with how it functions since I've only ever studied in relation to small planes, thanks for adding some detail

Are you using a Linux phone by any chance? Could you share some details? I've been thinking about it but I didn't pull the trigger because the alternatives I've been looking at all have shortcomings. Curious to hear more.

Edit: after re-reading the passage, I think that what happened is that the elevator had stalled, not the wing? So it wasn't a "normal" stall. Original comment below. > It stalled, because of the load. What he did, because

I don't think it's a dns resolver issue. I'm intentionally using 8.8.8.8 to prove the point (same results with other mainstream services like 1.1.1.1 by the way): ----- $ nslookup google 8.8.8.8 Server: dns.google Address:
