Exactly. Farming is a very capital intensive business, I'm not even sure why this very note worthy. I work for a small financial company that lends money to farmers on an annual basis for seed and chemicals. Even small crop farms typic

Nope, they put it into a very dense area. And again, their stated goal is to keep the amount of fares collected lower than their operating costs.

The implied argument here is that suburban living is subsided by others, while urban living is not. This simply not true. Just as one example, the light rail lines in my metro does not even make enough in fares to cover operating expenses (

Make you a deal: you can live in the type of community you want, and I will live in the type I want, and we won't try to block eachother's pursuit of happiness. Then we don't need to conduct a poll to determine what lifestyle

Not possible. The poor pay very little in taxes (the bottom 40% pay less than 5% of income taxes collected), and the rich pay most of them (the top 5% pay 55% of income taxes collected).

That would require a massive, coordinated conspiracy by a large group of landowners, and would be very expensive to carry out and would suffer from a free-rider issue of funding it. It's just not within the realm of possibility.

I believe the ACA itself was a poison pill that would make the system so inefficient to drive it to collapse and bring about single payer. The failure of Republicans to implement an alternative has pretty much guaranteed it.

Mass transit is so heavily subsidized that if had to carry it's full economic costs, it would be unaffordable. The light rail lines in my state (MN) don't even make enough from fares to cover their day-to-day operating costs, much

They have right to choose to limit their standard of living, as you have done, and move to an urban core and be completely dependent on transit for transportation. Only one of us wants to "change this substantially."
