Hm... What are comments like in 2022, I ask myself. There's lot of hate, spam and other abuse, one word replies or no replies at all. Is that worth running the "infrastructure", checking comments, moderating them? I don'

By just looking at the thumbnails of the videos I see that Nebula is not the solution but part of the problem. It's the same clickbaity images all over the place. With regards to being able to find and filter such content, I'm not

Something like YouTube for learning videos, only. Spreading _solid_ knowledge about everything all over the world and people will be able to improve their societies, no matter where they are. That will probably have a huge impact.

I'm 35 and I would not start again with programming. Maybe it's some kind of chicken-egg problem, but I find it harder and harder to stay "on top" of the situation, the ever-changing web ecosystems and whatnot, because I

Does not make any sense at all. You jump from "sun is overhead in 12 hours" (12 AM) to "sun is overhead in 1 hour" (1 AM) when you follow that logic. The 12 hour-system is broken and should go away.

> 12:00 AM is one minute before that. Which is strange, because it does not follow the concept that all other of those time"stamps" do. 12 AM implies that 12 hours of something has passed, but it's nothing that we would al

You know that won't happen and it's a no-go for me, too. I'd love to support individual projects, but there's no way to do so, sadly.

Dismissing cookie notices is just a sign of companies outsourcing the cost of being privacy friendly. They could just run their own analytics tool and you wouldn't need any notice at all for basic visitor counting. But everybody is cra

I'm mainly working with two systems. The one is PDFlib [1] which can easily be accessed via Java and PHP. As a web guy, I'm using PHP obviously. There's some learning curve to it, and you have to take care of lots of stuff by

What you would typically be looking at, is compliance witt the PDF/X standards [1] in various levels, which are basically ISO norms for PDFs. Files for printing production need to have their fonts embedded, color profiles attached/
