Erm.... that is a completely different problem. Do the following: sudo -EHs su, then as root sudo -EH -u {username} firefox --new-window I'll leave to you the exercise of learning what the flags do, and implicitly why it fails in your

I am probably not understand your use-case correctly but there's a `--new-window` flag on the firefox binary. You can use that to open new windows under the same profile.

I'd be very curious to learn which parts of the GUI you mean, I think in 15 years of using GIMP, I've never had this problem, though granted, I never used it at a professional level. The only things that I can think of is some mor

Complaining about the level of compensation at Google and Apple (even as far back as 15 years ago) feels like a very, _very_ first world problem.

After looking some more into it, it seems that parent was right, and the examples I had in mind are not cached at all, that being the reason why it looked like it was working. Their documentation specifically mentions Vary as non-functional

I own one of the previous generations of this laptop and I want to say that the batteries are a bit of a sham (hopefully they're better in this new one). I've had to change them once a year, because they drop from 100% health to 6

In all fairness Blow had to juggle a lot of projects during this time. His work on the Jai compiler and on the other games Thekla is working on was probably higher priority than finishing anniversary edition. Still, it's good to have s

You're viewing the Mastodon vs. Bluesky problem from very different temporal points of observation, so your conclusions are not really meaningful. Mastodon is installed on hundreds of servers, how many instances of Bluesky are there? U
