We've been packaging migrations into a container and just shipping it as a Kubernetes Job. It executes once, and if doesn't success (non-zero exit code), Kubernetes will reschedule it.

Why are you making the transition? I’ve tried it, and ended up back on MacOS for a few reasons. If you are joining a team that is using Windows extensively, you’ll find it easier than if you are trying to switch to Windows in a dev team tha

You could mount the nginx.conf files into the container so they are editable. The “correct” way to run a Docker container is to supply the config at runtime, not at image build time.

Why isn’t this possible using docker? I would assume you could still issue an nginx reload command to the container running docker, since it’s the same nginx software running.

Of course not. Common advice given to a new runner who is trying to lose weight is "you can't outrun a bad diet". Exercise is super important in maintaining good cardiovascular health, a good mental state, and does help with

The showrooms I know of LA aren’t close enough to where you can park to enable this. They are built in more walkable areas such as outdoor malls.

Are you referring to just internal documentation about your own architecture? If you are struggling with the runtime dependency and debugging, make sure you have a distributing opentracing stack like Jaeger running. If it’s internal docs an

That’s really a terrible place to put people in. From what this says, the SEC put part of the blame on the employees who lifted the circuit breakers without approval, and also state that employees didn’t know that they needed approval? Bef

You mention that you’ve had 2 in-person interviews for 100 applications. How many tech/phone screens did you get? To really give some good advice, it would be good to know if your resume is failing to impress, or if you aren’t succeedi

I agree that most of the issues we encountered were early bugs that have been resolved. While Docker 1.12 and 1.13 had some stability issues with services, it was early and they’ve been addressed. Swarm has been really stable for us since t

I have experience running production stacks on Swarm, Kubernetes and ECS. I think the best way to talk about running Swarm stacks in production is to compare it to other orchestration runtimes. Swarm has a really low learning curve. You can

Uploading manually is a PITA. That’s because you really should automate it using CI/CD if it’s not your local dev environment. If you are manually uploading your code for a dev environment it would be worth exploring a better local, of

GSuite can be an IdP for SAML but it’s sometimes limited. AFAIK you can’t use it to connect to AWS using SAML because AWS makes some assumptions about attributes in the identity. I may be wrong here, but I tried to do this a few months ago

This is just obfuscation. Making it harder to hack won't prevent hacks. Anything that can be changed by the client, expect the client to change it.
