(honest question, just Incase it comes off as sarcastic). How would you get a job a job as a junior dev without any form of dev training. Side note: how could you be a Dev without knowing the fundamentals of how to code? I looked up a compu

That's actually really surprising. Thank you for your input. I had assumed it would have been -teach basics of code, explain the thinking behind it and why to use certain things at such time, then slowly expand upon that. Hmm certanly

(disclaimer: I'm self taught, did a few months of University but couldn't afford more - dirt poor family). I'm a little confused(and more than a bit shocked), isn't this what University is suppose to teach? I agree with

This is the point where I would say, 'i don't care, let's talk about it'. Perfectly correct for them? Okay, cool. Also perfectly correct for the rest of the world to discuss... On freely accessable platforms... Look I&#x

Oh in this case I agree, I was just thinking out loud. Not that we(programmers/techs) could come to a concensus anyway, was just a side track I thought would make for an interesting discussion :-)

You are right, and honestly the more I think about it, the more I worry about it being a bad idea. Or less a bad idea, and more a 'most likely to steer in a bad Direction's sort of idea as, honestly, humanity doesn't really h

Actually I'd argue that it's more important because the government doesn't support it. Unless there was a rule stating it was illegal to take a census before this existed, shouldn't that be a huge red flag for taking thi

I often wonder at what point should we (as programmers) ignore a countries ruling if we disagree with it. (Note I'm not arguing for or against here, I don't know enough about the situation but thought it may be an interesting conv
