Followup: Proton has implemented a mapping for D3D12 DLSS to this new NVIDIA 470 Vulkan DLSS implementation. https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Proton-6...

If by "replicating" you mean replicating the experience, then you're looking for Dokku Easy setup + MIT license and you get the same git push deploys, Heroku-compatible buildpacks or bring your own Dockerfile. I would recomme

What GC is used in goscript? The upstream one, a Rust GC<> one, maybe the mini one from TinyGo, or something else custom?

DLSS is in the Linux NVIDIA driver since 470 (June 22nd). That is if you use it directly with Linux APIs (Vulkan). I think Direct3D implementations on Linux (like Proton/DXVK/VKD3D) are still catching up to wrap the D3D API for it

Oracle, MSSQL and some rarer ones (Actian Zen?) are "VSS-Aware" in that they register a writer driver. This gives them a callback before the snapshot starts - a chance to flush transactions and hold off writing any more, for a sec

In CAP, the P happens whether you like it or not, and you get to choose between C-but-not-A or A-but-not-C. IRC is an AP system. It stays up (+A) in a netsplit (+P) but the resulting servers are not consistent.

Debian nicely offers this with the zfs-dkms package. Ubuntu just bundles ZFS into the kernel statically - not even as a loadable module - and damn the licensing implications(!).

I think you can do this today with some other filesystems. e.g. WinBtrfs is (rightly!) very proud of being able to boot a full Windows OS.

It's only a few steps away from what Graal/Truffle do: unroll the interpreter loop over the bytecode, then keep re-running dead code elimination and inlining passes - you end up with something very close to optimized native output
