Except that you can't separate model and normal maps since they're baked versions of the real model. As, you can say you have smaller textures (but shaders with complex 2D data also)

Distributing a static HTML page content does not need a VC. Nginx on an RPI on my home connection does provide sufficient level of performance and availability. If I need more because my content is way popular, I guess a monetization scheme

I'd cite the Django python web framework as one of the best documented projects I came across (and one the the reasons of its success): https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/4.1/

One funny consequence is: refactor code only well covered by tests, decrease nb of lines of code => test coverage decreases. This is normal and test coverage is not itself a target, but that's funny.

I know it can be hard. However, walking away abruptly from someone disrespectful ( but with a very short -but polite -explanation) I have already done. Generally people cool off and come back either with apologies or at least explaining the

People in the 60s were afraid of nuclear war with the other superpower, USSR. In the 80s job were outsourced to the Japan superpower. USA has never been alone up there. Maybe in the 90s.

... and yet in this article, the author beats by 10x a C compiled code with hand tuned assembly. (By using SIMD and unrolling, which the compiler did not. Granted linear compiler code is faster than hand made linear assembly)

Maybe not, but if all small files in a directory have the same structure, permissions, owner and same parent directory, and you don't care about x-times, you might as well use this context.

For static images, yes. For animation, not so much as a pixel moving can have huge implications on other sides of the image due to error diffusion.
