I dont understand the reported size of the go runtime. Sure, an hello world can be 2 megs in Go, but not 500. Compiled binaries are standalone and famously statically linked, so there is no extra RUNtime. I'd think the reported 470MB i

If it provides the correct features and runs correctly, simpler is better. To me, simpler to run, understand, backup, deploy, recover goes in the right direction.

Every file that changed because rules changed, which shouldn't be frequent, I don't remember black changed radically since its creation, do you have an example of some widespread syntax change ?

Its a tradeoff. Decoder is real fast and can be used in embedded contexts (or ported to languages simply). Encoder is also really fast which can be useful for game textures by example.

This pattern is very pleasant and I sure hope browsers would embed as HTML standard a simple version of this (with simple hx-get/post, hx-target and hx-event to start)

For webdev Go scratch containers are really nice and quick to develop. Of course the language could use better error checking but that's about it. It really does that job well. Fast, secure (GC and yes you can ignore errors the same wa

I understand that decoupling storage and features is useful. Regarding merge, and again I'm linking storage and functionality, but storing one file per issue would alleviate this. And two users working on the same issue would need to s

Thanks for the reply, interesting. Regarding everyone agreeing, isn't someone quite obliged to use the project approach to bugtracking? If there are bridges, then you could implement them for this also. Re: merging, if you merge some b

Why not a issues/ directory with one file per issue ? Put comments there, track them by author as commit author. Consider them part of a branch or a release. (So a big could be fixed in a branch and not in another).

I don't know how many LOC you could trigger with a write. Including all drivers, filesystems , ..., perhaps millions. Hardly a unit test. And then, a driver is difficult to unit test. BUT some parts of the kernel could use unit tests.
