I think it is more about removing "bad" growth. People moving to suburbs and so consuming more oil is such a bad growth. People buying high quality expensive bio food is (or at least shouldn't) be bad growth. Making processes more efficient

Funny, by reading the GP, I thought exactly the opposite - that in the context of the sentence, that would be a woman with a career to pay the bills. May be hard to have two entrepreneurs tho - Or only without children.

Sorry to answer on the most superficial aspect and last line of your post... But I wonder why PG's site is so thin in width, making it extremely well readable, while HN uses the whole screen width? I consider the whole screen text use a UI

Deep rooted in the way they do hiring interviews in the first place maybe? Look like they target heavy cold problem solving people, can it get them conflict-solving people?

You almost defined the P/E - the price earning ratio. Usually, a stock is worth around the order of 10 to 20 times the yearly earnings of the company. If you take all AAPL stocks, their value is around 17 years of earnings. P/E can be highe

I find electronic communication fine for most work tasks - but definitely not enough for tourism. Also not for seeing loved ones like my best friends and family.

You're right! That would be the rich way and would be of course totally awesome. You have to be really successful before to be able to do that though ;) That would just make 99% of the readers feel miserable as a result...

Can you explain the first line a bit more? I am a NY fan and maintain electronic contacts with many people there, but it's nothing compared to being there in person in my opinion.

OK. Car-dealers loans (made by the car-marker banks) run usually around 1% where I live. Inflation is currently around 2.5% yty. Also some investments are quite tax-free, but most investment run about 25% taxes here in Germany.

Because often interests on car credits are lower than the inflation, and maintenance costs on second hand are very hard to foresee.

You seem to have a quite white/black view of the world. Managers in most locations, in small or big companies, often try to do their best to keep employment local. Partly this has to do with the fact to be able to show "their" team physical

Is the "account" unity so relevant for Facebook? If you use the same IP and same password, and have regular login patterns, it's probably easy to identify same people having multiple accounts. I think Google already can do that BTW.
