I love linux (and bash) but can’t understand the desire to use it as a desktop OS, especially when you can work in Terminal on Mac. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Bash is ubiquitous - the best selling point for knowing it and sticking to it. I desire a fancy new shell but don’t want it to become a crutch, limiting my usefulness and familiarity when I’m on a system lacking it.

Yes look at the Coway AP-1512HH. I have one in each bedroom. It also has a good air quality sensor and “auto” mode that’s driven by it. Among the competition, it cleans better than most and has a low TCO. Very quiet on “low”

I advocate: git add -p for interactive staging. It’ll present each hunk of code with a y/n prompt. This is a good habit to prevent committing any debug code or stray marks.

Having started typing on IBM keyboards before the Model M, and eventually struggling to adapt to non-“mechanical” keyboards, it’s now hard for me to understand why people want to use them. I didn’t want to go to the “soft” laptop keyboards

I remember the PCjr felt considerably slower than the 5150 (PC) and also had a terrible keyboard, however it was innovative to use infrared to make it wireless. It also had cartridge slots and a small catalog of (mostly) games that came on
