I have done some benchmarking comparing JS, WASM, and native C++ addon performance in Node.js: https://github.com/zandaqo/iswasmfast From the look of it, in Node.js, WASM suffers less data exchange overhead while been

And then there is BRICS--countries that have the means to use the modern tech, but the governments are too weak or too corrupt to enforce regulations. This tech has its merits, if done right it can increase the overall efficiency of hydroge

And it's regulated way more than the fuel industry. In many of those developing nations, opening a gas station is as simple as burying a few containers and paying off fire-safety inspectors. I'm not at all eager to see them handli

Ammonia is gaseous under normal conditions, meaning that any leak would result in presence of gaseous ammonia in air. 500 mg of ammonia per m3 of air can damages eyes, a short exposure to 3g can have overall toxic effects, at 7 g and higher

Ammonia is toxic, though, we will have to convert it back to hydrogen way before it reaches the car or most gas stations, just to be on a safe side.

Ammonia is 10x more dense than hydrogen gas at the same temperature/pressure, so you can pack more of it into the same volume.

According to Statcouter, Edge 17 released 2 months ago is only used by 2/3 of Edge users, whereas it takes just couple weeks for a new Chrome to reach most of its users. When I hear about a new feature in Chrome/Firefox, I know I

Two things on my wishlist as a developer: 1. Decoupling Edge updates from Windows updates for quicker adoption. 2. Custom Elements as the basic feature for Web Components.

That's good to know. Introduction of iterators, lambdas, first-class functions, smart pointers, references, auto and in such in C++11 and Java left me with the feeling of C family languages converging on some similar set of features th

We use proxies to watch models in our in-house MVC framework[1] and all those use cases are covered. You can watch setting array items with indexes, nested objects etc. It did take some jumping through hoops because the model also has to ex

As a long time JS dev I don't claim expertise in other languages, but every time I go back to check out new features in C++ or Java they feel more and more like JavaScript with types than "C with classes".

It's not required, you can use .catch since it's just normal promises: const result = await doStuff().catch(errorHandler);

I wonder if exercising contributes to killing off these senescent cells. In muscle building one is breaking down and rebuilding muscle cells, this might as well prevent cell "aging" and going into senescence.

Try gradually lowering the temperature of your water over say a month or two. What helped me, perhaps, is that I started during hot summer and the tap water got cold gradually till winter allowing me to adopt to it.

Absolutely! The correlation is strong in my case, though, I was on alert waiting to get cold for quite some time at first, and I also didn't change anything else in my routines at the time, so I attributed the results to cold showers.
