I think the question is what does "security assurances" mean. The term doesn't appear in the actual text of the memorandum ( https://web.archive.org/web/20170312052208/http://www.cfr.or...

I'm only going by the Content section of the Wikipedia article you reference (which may be wrong), but to me it doesn't say that the UK "assures the integrity of Ukraine's border", just that UK respects its independ

Thanks for the correction! I think I meant priority then - previously when turning into a side street, motor vehicles had priority over pedestrians waiting to cross, but now pedestrians waiting to cross have priority over motor vehicles tur

I'd be happy with the Highway Code being updated, or with other provision being made for cyclists, but it sounds like you're suggesting cyclists should just ignore the rules? The trouble with that is that by not following the rule

I don't drive or cycle (just a pedestrian) and definitely don't want to "dehumanize" cyclists, but I do find it scary (at least here in London) how rarely cyclists follow the Highway Code. In particular, it is very commo

I understood the changes to the Highway Code differently (although could be wrong). My understanding was that previously there were various situations where pedestrians did not have right of way and so, if there were cars coming, should not

At least where I work, it's company policy that, if you have your camera on (this is optional), you either blur the background or replace it with a virtual background. Doesn't that address this concern?

The `Result` type has a `map_err` method to which you can pass a function (or closure) to modify the error, so you can write something like... ``` let (val1, val2) = baz() .map_err(|err| add_my_context(err, "some context"))?;

Yes, 5G can operate on lots of different frequencies depending on whether you want high bandwidth or high coverage (or, through careful combinations) both! Since 50GHz is basically line-of-sight, if you want to jam it, just build a wall!

I'm not sure why this is specific to malware. Isn't this just steganography? You could equally hide malware in a compressed image. Maybe the amount of data you can hide is higher, but that's primarily because they're s

Going into low-power mode and then being woken up by the tower is standard function (even of 4G) - it's called paging, and pretty much all devices support it. Unfortunately, although listening for these paging messages requires less po
