This is not a trade-war issue. This is a long planned review of the Privacy Shield regulation. Even if all trade conflicts ended, this would continue because it is not about trade but fundamental rights.

This is a hoax, right? Numerical methods like the one mentioned are basic stuff in mathematics. It's like someone claimed to have invented using derivatives in mathematical models. It's beyond eye-roll-inducing.

Better not let the kids in the workshop. They could think the tools lying around there are made by professionals so they'd be safe, resulting in them getting hurt. And the metal and wooden dust from the saw someone used there could get

Let me add that there exists a similar echo chamber when it comes to questions regarding cryptography. Way too often questions about how to do this or that in cryptography are put down by a "you don't" or the generic "do

One can easily embed R into R^N with a dense image, so it's straightforward to see that one parameter is always enough. In the case of computable reals (which contain everything we deal with when doing things numerically), the embeddin

Consent must be informed in all cases. If a user does not know the privacy policy of your website while using it, it is not informed consent. How do you make sure that the user is aware of the privacy policy while using the website?

I strongly hope that regulation is enforced independently of political convenience. And if it turns out to be misused that way, I'd demand it to stop. However, let's wait for the facts first, shall we?
