Modern televisions have made me wish they were just dumb (as possible) monitors with no software interface. Just select the input, power, volume, brightness etc those things no Roku or other smarts.

My father's uncle kept moving the fence between our property and his so he could drive to the back of his own property. This was an ongoing thing. I think eventually my father just gave up and let him have the strip. Now neither proper

Before you speak to the judge you speak to the prosecutor who can decide to add to the base fine of $173 + $25 court fee even if you don't go to court and it is at their discretion to increase the fine. A prosecutor involved for a spee

I wonder if they have spare parts to repair existing cars or if they would have taken some of their spares for new vehicles.

Yeah and knowing the programmer personally at the time I have no reason to believe he would not have known what he was helping to facilitate. Eventually the two programmers asked for their pay to be in diamonds like they were working for a

I learned a few years ago that I actually worked closely with one of the two programmers who worked with Madoff and was part of the "Madoff Five" the year before he started with Madoff. I feel the judge went too easy on the progra

yeah nearly every developer I encounter does not want to pay for anything. Yet they love to get paid to program. An odd disconnect there for me.

People can justify all kinds of things if they are making money. I knew one of the programmers who was caught up in the Madoff Ponzi scheme. He went along with it for a long time and enriched himself. He had to have known what was going on.

After a study with the same findings came out the school district my son was in changed it's start time. To an earlier start time. This is in Texas so not surprising.

strcpy is a coding challenge where I work for interviews. I typically ask them to write it as the standard version and ask them why they might not want to use it to see if they are aware of the risks. After that I ask them to modify the cod

I think part of the appeal of the retro computers is learning to work within their limitations from memory, sound capability, etc. Sometimes having boundaries can fuel ingenuity.

Some of the benefits of retro computing is learning how computers work on a lower level than you might with a modern computer. While modern computers are far more complex than any retro and there isn't a one-to-one analog for how they
