To add, we discussed this at work this week, and someone tried cutting the example on our laser printer. Broke when trying to expand it, though.

Google intentionally gimps Firefox on Android, by serving an old-school page. Using an addon (which you can on mobile Fx, and not on Chrome), fixes this by editing the UA string when visiting Google. Getting the "nice experience",

It doesn't say that self-citation is wrong per se, but that some people use it to game their citation count to the extreme.

The issue is that the man didn't get a trophy for winning his class. Most times, that's the overall trophy, and then there's an additional one for the fastest woman. So the article is clear enough, I think, given that most ru

I might be a bike fanatic, but I'm no professional athlete and I can sustain more than 200W for hours, so my guess is the pro's are quite a bit higher again. (Your point still stands, though)

That's one thing I like with GDPR. It has to be informed consent for a lot of cases. Can't hide it and say you agreed to whatever in a hidden EULA.

You should know the context before saying "nothing". The reason most laws like these exist, is because it used to be more normal to have a stay-at-home-mom, and the male making all the money. Just because the woman didn't con

How is it cynical? If something, it's wholesome to see people make nontraditional things work for them.

It's disingenuous to refer to their relationships as merely dating, when they have lasted for more than a decade. And when it's not dating, you don't really have a point.

What about other bodies of water than the ocean? Like lakes or somerhing. Mostly still water. Or where I live, they have put swimming lanes in the ocean. Like a dock that extends out on two places, and with lane separators in between. Free

Same in Norway just this year. Removing lots of cars from the city centre, people complaining, then the data shows it was not really an issue.

You could have been a 10x developer if you taught him how to do it. A single developer can only scale so much, a true 10x developer is one that scales the output of those around as well.

Well, frankly one does. A heater on some of the walls has been enough for our family home in Norway for decades. Not sure how it's "wildly inefficient". Could always install a heat pump if so. And if it were true that one c
