If you ever think about relying on Google for your business, this linked thread is a good reason not to. You are at the mercy of helpful volunteers while Google is stonewalling anyone from ever reaching them and getting help.

This sounds like one of those Whisper fake stories or a r/thathappened post, especially with the "suffice to say" and the smiley at the end. I used ZF2 during the beta, and the activity on SO, their IRC and their forums were

Do you have sources on that? If you read the article, it claimed that that might not be true.

263,428 plays over 53,632 songs = 5 plays of each song on average. (updated after comment below) I haven't "scrobbled" in many years, but checked now that I in 2007 (when I was 16) had 12,377 plays with only 153 unique songs.

Yeah, I get it a couple of times a week when I try to search for old technical stuff, where google constantly reformulates my search and includes what it thinks are synonyms.

I use LeechBlock for Firefox. It can either block sites, give you a time restriction for certain websites, or delay them opening.

Would wildcard support in hosts files be too heavy for the performance needed? Most of these are subdomains that *.facebook.com would have blocked.

Yeah, was hoping it actually would connect to something and give of different sensations based on direction, which in time the body/mind might recognize. This seemed more like an art-experiment than something cool.

It was closed by regular users. If you would like to see it open, vote to reopen it. However, the question is broad and vague, and doesn't really fit the SO model.

Here's [1] a page where you are only allowed to use as much code as would fit in a Twitter message. There are fractals being created and other cool stuff (third one by "icecuber", ctrl+f). So, not really much code needed for

This may be a stupid question, but: What do you use it for? Cannot everyone basically edit the client code and do whatever with your data? I've only used Firebase for prototyping.

I liked Amazon better before it became what Ebay became. It used to be a warehouse, now it's thousands merchants competing for exposure, thus prompting this. When I search for a product, I now often get tens of matches, all almost iden

Except that he multiple times, even in this thread, has shown that he only wanted the money and not be a part og YC. So it's really on him.

That doesn't invalidate the point, though. I'd rather maintain an old Backbone app, where I can read tutorials and search SO for answer, than some home-made framework.
