I'm no expert but I would say no. Each frame delta might have less/same information, but since you're applying more deltas/second, it gets better again.

The biggest issue I've faced when it comes to playing games on Linux that have good support (for example CS:GO) is that mouse handling in linux is not easy to configure and vendor mouse drivers are often atrocious if they exist at all.

Isn't the first part of your suggestion handled on OS level anyways? Aka. restricted user access, SELinux, AppArmor etc.

The traffic can be intercepted and changed. If someone trusts you (say you gave them the link) but the content they are being served is not the content you intended to be shared, is that not a security issue? ISPs have been known to inject

It's not just security, it is also privacy. But even if it was just security, it would be irresponsible to offer something (a blog) and knowingly compromise security for anyone who is interested.

AC is not really a thing in private homes almost anywhere in Europe. Windows also work differently here in Germany than in the US, so the same models definitely wouldn't work. I'm not sure if there are versions for our windows.

Why? Everything it needed for that 1v1 was available. There was nothing in the FoW that needed to be known, it can keep timers about enemy cooldowns, gold and xp (approximations at least since it's somewhat random).

That was pretty much the entire reason it won. It did some standard high-level 1v1 laning techniques, but if human "conditions"[1] were implemented it would look a lot different. Just the blocking of the lane creeps at the start i

To be fair, the 1v1 Shadow Fiend matchup with these rules is A LOT about exact distances and timings. To which the bot has direct API access and the human has to got the whole GPU -> screen -> eyes -> brain -> muscles -> mo

Same thing happened to me in multiple projects on multiple machines. Weird how that seems so common and still made it into v5.

Not really. There are claims that for example men are better at spacial reasoning (imagining/navigating a 2d/3d space, constructing physical things in their head before acting on it). Women are supposedly better at putting themsel

How would you apply those markings with your fingers? They need to be pretty precise, so that the device can recognize them properly.

I think he meant that you can go anywhere physically on earth, if you want to. You can go to deep water. That doesn't mean we've been everywhere in deep water, or even on land.

One problem specific to gaming: Adjusting mouse pointer speed and acceleration is a huge pain. I've tried SteamOS for gaming but especially playing FPS type games is really bad with acceleration. Disabling it usually requires X.org con

We run a good-sized app API using Typescript with Node.js. Our developers use Linux or Windows. The only real trouble we have with windows are some rare native add-ons like memwatch. We keep our dependencies up-to-date by occasionally runni

They did the OpenGL ports anyways for Linux and CS:GO was originally developed for PS3 and XBOX 360 as well, so porting to OS X was likely not as much of a problem as it is for other games, because it had portability in mind. Source runs ra

It's rather common to see promises used as pseudo-callbacks actually. I think it has to do with the fact that just assigning something async (the promise) to a variable seems so counter-intuitive to someone who has programmed with call

But that still adds up to 20 minutes to your full travel time. I often have flights that are only 1 hour. Waiting even 10-15 minutes (normal here) is annoying for me, especially when I'm trying to get to work on time.

Cloud9 actually offers SSH workspaces. (Not sure this new version has them too) So you can use the cloud9 IDE on your local files or on files that are on a server of yours.

Still no word on the OSS part. Last commit on master was November last year. I like it as a service for my personal use and OSS work. But employers will mostly not allow me to use a hosted service to edit their code; I've tried.
