Then I guess you chose the wrong side. Dynamically-typed languages produce less code precisely because you don't need to specify the types. E.g. Scala is more verbose than Clojure.

These evil Reds... But of course US-backed emperor Selassie had nothing to do with the disastrous economy despite ruling as an absolute monarch for 60 years. And the Ogaden War where US-backed Somalia attacked Ethopia also had nothing to do

A lot of so-called "democratic" countries have forced labor as well. Working for a ridiculous wage is no better than forced labor. Anyway, yes, we're digressing.

A lot of computers using different numbering systems were built. Binary took over mainly because the required hardware was the simplest.

The nomenklatura would invent the most ridiculous arguments ("Condemned as a capitalist tool") to avoid any criticism, to suit their planned programs, corruption, and unjustified spendings.

Why wouldn't you take other factors into account? Or better, why would you take this factor in particular as the only factor that matters?

That's oversimplifying. There are much more things to take into account than just that. If it was that simple, there would be no dynamic/weak typed language, right?

No. That's simplifying the problem. Please read the link I posted about this subject, you'll be surprised on how deep this goes.

Yeah, I was just going to edit my comment to say "well, at least the author states it is 100% Opinionated View" :) But you could skip that part and have more arguments, although without it you couldn't easily rule out some la

Stopped reading after "strong typing is better than weak typing". Well, it is not. He/she rules out perfectly valid programming languages because of this personal opinion nowhere near a fact ( http://stackoverflow.c

Yeah, I really had hard time sleeping because thinking of the downvotes... Linux supports any architecture, that doesn't matter. I'm asking if anyone has tried or knows about this: Is there a bootlock? What's the shipped BIOS

Most important question is: can I install Linux on it? (Haters gonna downvote)

Not my field, my propositions would be naive at best. But I know there are plenty of other educational systems out there.

I don't understand the cross-platform part, isn't F# .Net? Then how is it cross-platform? Also open source, that's nice, but what's the license? Also Microsoft is not very friendly to open source, why would I trust them

Any hints on why would anyone choose F# over the multitude of functional languages out there? (This is not a sarcasm, I'm actually looking for real answers :))

IMHO the real problem here since a long time is that exams have been demonstrated to be flawed. You can pass an exam and have no idea on the subject. The whole system is flawed, we need a new education system.

Looks like worth reading, although the themes of the novels covered in the article look pretty much rehashed from other authors like Arthur C. Clarke of course, but also Larry Niven comes to mind.

Without Stalinism the USSR would have probably lost WW2, which in turn means Hitler would not have been defeated. Sad but true.
