Are you talking about Google display or Google search? I assuming the former given the context but wanted to ask to be sure. Google search shouldn’t be any different. I find it a common roadblock for one to think about advertising as a one

In the same boat as well. I'm starting to think to file a chargeback as I gather they are using preorder money to fund advertising like a Ponzi Scheme.

Generally correct, but do watch out for some recent changes by Google, where you pay what you bid instead of being charged the lowest next bid even if you set your bid higher.

At another university, if you were a TA, you would have a “faculty” account flag, which would give you another option to pay any parking fines—deduction from your paycheck. Except TAs don’t have paycheck. The system would deduct from 0, and

Would love to get feedback from the HN community. We're a decently sized sender following what we think are best practices (sending to engaged, dkim, etc.) however our gmail deliverability is rock bottom and it's been difficult to

Yes, this is a good note for anyone interested in doing this. Other things to keep in mind, the paper source, while may be peer reviewed, most likely was not reproduced (a problem in the industry in general), so would be prudent to filter o

What I did a while back is download the raw data and run it through https://promethease.com/ . Will tell you a lot more about risks, drug interactions. What it does is it compares your data to that of all the journal papers

I agree with this. In the past few months, I've found walmart.com to be cheaper than amazon.com for manytdepartments/products (certainly not always true). However, the point is it might be worth it to comparison shop at the cost o

While this detracts from the main point of data mining behavioral transactions, I do want to voice the internal debate I have with these ads to get some feedback. I think it's silly that they spent budget on OOH (billboard) ads when co

This is most likely. To take it one level further, since you bought something, it can be DLX data (or Oracle now) or some other purchase-based data (from Visa or Nielsen Catalina). Facebook can ingest these as custom segments to target. For

Actually for digital ads, there is a way to measure offline sales lift (albeit a few shortcomings). It requires a lot of money (i.e. ~50K for a study, and media spend 250K+). We are able to tie a digital impression to traceable tender (cred
