I've recently splurged on a new phone (old one was >4 years old and started to run a little slow) and a high refresh screen just adds to the general "snappiness" of everything. I'm also using a high refresh-rate monit

I've tried getting into Home Assistant a few years ago, but it was right at the switch from declarative yaml files for (almost) everything to most of the stuff being set up via the UI. I would love to give Home Assistant another shot -

I have a workstation with a 3950x and 128gigs ram that I mostly use for fluid sims in Houdini and rendering tasks. There's honestly nothing that I'm doing on my work machine (an M2 macbook pro) that I feel would benefit from more

It's somewhat endearing that a trillion dollar company goes through something similar as I did - fiddling around with rEFInd, my BIOS splash image, plymouth-git & plymout-sddm, "quiet splash" and god knows what else to ge

I agree about what to expect from a code review - but for me, certain ways of working need to be in place for this to function properly. A code review is the "last line of defense" (well, disregarding CI), but in the teams I'

+1 for Excalidraw, especially regarding the "multiplayer" aspect. In general, if sketching it out, whether alone or with multiple people, using something simple I can click, drag & label is more than enough and helps me keep t

I've been wondering this myself, also, since comments that are downvoted heavily get lighter and lighter, for the longest time I've assumed that the text submissions I was reading also were that controversial.

I feel like every developer/technically inclined person goes through a phase of trying to fix timekeeping. I know I did. I think it's a good exercise in recognizing that we (largerly) make tools and standards that fit existing soc

I would love for Copilot to receive lsp information together with the raw code, I think that could already provide it with enough context, especially in strongly typed codebases.

A good SuperDisplay alternative is something I really miss on Linux. Even over wifi, the latency is imperceptible to me, and being able to use the pen input (with pressure and tilt) is the cherry on top.

This seems very interesting, thanks for sharing! I wonder if something similar could also be a usecase for Bun's macros, where certain code is executed at bundle time.[1] [1] https://bun.sh/docs/bundler/macros

Never used Godot myself but can't you use C# in place of Godotscript? The docs[1] would suggest so. [1] https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/scripting/c...
