The stolen sum was taken from a centralized, bank-like account. Not your keys, not your coins. Given how incredibly likely people are to trust these untrustworthy organizations, not much hope regular folks can be safe.

Not that this specifically will cause any consequence for the language, but it's terrible how entirely possible some similar drama can affect it. This is a complex, unspecified language with a single decent implementation.

I never said what "my machines" do. Don't assume everyone has the same lax safety necessities as you have.

How safe, audited and non-invasive is .net core by now? There's a .net program I have a VM for and that's kind of a pain. Since .net had telemetry by default, running bare on my machines was never an option, and Mono wouldn't

I agree it's too minimalist, but it's fine for vi. Just use fast pressed double letters to escape insert mode like evil-escape does. The control position is horrifying as an emacs user, though, there's no way to palm press. T

I really want this to succeed, but I think it's the wrong approach in the grand scheme. OOXML is the de-facto "document" standard, and I think it's reasonable to say that it is deliberately too complex, giving too much a

Freedom is indeed the ability to make your own choices, but you must not understand it in a strictly technical context, more like a social/legal one. It simply isn't viable to physically prevent every action society considers you

What makes Emacs unique to me doesn't have anything to do editing code. All the tools for doing that are incredibly similar, specially after LSP became a thing. Writing code in Emacs or VSC is practically the same for me, though I happ

Chemistry is a bit of a cult. Its theoretical aims are laudable, but in order to get there it forces you to do a lot of work and reason strictly in its own way. Whether all this work is worth the rewards, I think is open for debate.
