Therefore no one is allowed to use it, ever. This thing runs in the web browser so it clearly marginalizes people who don't have internet access, as well as people who disable JS for security reasons, among others.

I wouldn't be spending my time here if my family was starving, or so close to that I'd need to lie for food. In fact if anyone here claimed to be in that situation I would question if they are lying.

Wonderfully useful insight, thanks, now I know exactly what I must do. I'll study the most recently launched programming language, operating system and shell. I'm sure they're better and far more useful than C, linux or bash,

Honestly curious, isn't mobile work mostly about user interfaces? Doesn't seem like what OP is looking for.

This looks so insane to me, I wonder how much building a normal apartment would cost in that area. I'm building a 7000sqft high-standard house in South America for around 200K USD.

Warning: guesswork. If only females survive with this disruption, it can only be inherited from a mother, so only 1 X chromosome of a female can have it. If somehow only those females survive, there's a pool of 50% of X chromosomes of

You're hindering your project because you don't want people getting upset with you. Sounds like you don't realize that, if you're acting in good faith, it's their fault they get upset, and it's nothing but harm

Do they also host the WhatsApp native instance (Android VM)? That'd be great for those using Pinephones who still want easy access to WA. Otherwise the WA bridge would only work if you run a client yourself.

I concur. I really wouldn't mind anyone using this for whatsapp as I consider any message I send there is also available to 14-eyes, but bridge usage really should be disclosed to Signal users.

Which bridge is it? Mautrix/whatsapp does require an Android instance of whatsapp.

If needed, I'll probably just change it to asyncio, probably saner than inspecting everything for new parallelism bugs which can be incredibly subtle.

Is that how you call things that have been working flawlessly and solving people's problems for over 10 years? Is needlessly breaking things that work an improvement to you?

It's concurrent not parallel. The switch won't happen inside the execution of one opcode including some dictionary update operations so it's safe in many cases where parallel execution isn't.

I have seen and written Python code that spawns various threads with shared mutable state. Is it possible that some day the same code would run in parallel? That could be a terrible (very) breaking change. I'm not against allowing in-p

Kind of. Python definitely has more legacy cruft, but also has an npm equivalent PEP 582 with a working example, pdm. I don't see how JS is better unless you include web browsers as distribution. It's mostly people thinking bare `
