Apple requires enrollment in the small business program too, and it was much more involved in the Google one. For Google you basically just created a group and asserted which developer accounts were part of it, then approved it.

I’d rather not allow other tabs to listen in on my meetings in google meet, zoom or teams. How would this work securely? Seems like it would need to be opt-in for each site as well as requiring user consent.

401(k)s are privately managed. They were originally designed as a technique to replace pensions, and are separate from government-mandated savings like Social Security. How would a politician siphon from your retirement? A 401(k) is basical

Bitwarden is awesome, and super easy to self host with Docker. Heck, you could get a $5/mo DO droplet and host bitwarden_rs along with a static site or a bunch of other things! I wouldn’t suggest this to people who are unfamiliar with

You may be confusing data compression with dynamic range compression, since you mention dynamic range. Dynamic range compression (limiting / brick wall limiting) has nothing to do with data compression, which is just referring to the r

I don’t understand your argument. If 8 engineers work for $100 each, work 40 hours per week and output 320 hrs of work a week, or 10 engineers work for $80 each, 32 hours per week and output 320 hrs of work… there is overhead of managing mo

I think you’re hand waving away that money is a store of value, and indirectly of time spent. The money investors have also came from them creating value by doing some activity. It doesn’t materialize independently. And it is still a risk t

I don’t think this is true, but I also don’t think most of us are irreplaceable. For example, Jim Keller seems to make or break chip design projects.

Agreed that open by default is bad once you start building APIs, but it’s pretty easy to register a default policy to require authorization and override it with AllowAnonymous or other policies as required.

Interesting, I guess this only works to recover uncompressed wav files where you know the sample frequency and bit depth? Or does it read the wav headers when it finds them or something?

For a 4 year degree in CS at many universities, the coursework isn’t that similar to web development, so it’s not surprising that CSS may be a struggle. CS and programming are different things. For example, there are typically several class
