Sounds like a dimming / dynamic contrast feature of your TV to me, does your TV only have edge lit dimming?

I think you misunderstood the intent. Constantly optimizing your toolset instead of building a startup with what you already know is a very common form of bike shedding and is one of the hardest things for some developer-founders to get pas

Same here on iOS14 iphone11, with a pihole with default settings. Worked fine on chrome for windows with the same pihole, privacy badger and ublock origin, so I think it’s a separate issue to content blocking.

Does distributed mean it’s replicated across machines? It was a bit hard to tell from the article. Can this be run outside kubernetes or is it meant to be part of a big set of infra? One thing I’ve always wanted to build is an emulator (sne

If the token having claims is a security issue, the entry point could swap the users token (containing just their unique id and an expiration) with an authorized token with claims, and keep that token within the local network. Then there’s

Do you use edge on mobile? I haven’t heard of anyone using that before, so was curious if you missed the mobile part of the post or if you do use it mobile.

Also it’s pretty easy to just proxy requests through a whitelisted server side site so https://good.com is all that shows but it requests good.com?dest= https://evil.com

Have you taken a look at CDK and CDK-TF? It lets you programmatically generate terraform templates (or cloudformation with plain CDK) from other languages.

This can be done with the Cloudflare free plan easily, so long as you use Cloudflare as your DNS. You just make an authenticated API request to make the DNS update, and there are off the shelf tools to automate this in the background if you

I was literally just thinking about this yesterday, and am so excited! CF Workers already run at the edge and have a globally distributed kv store... you could use this coupled with Workers and KV to run an entire site along with data stora

Flutter uses a canvas rendering strategy where it’s painting all controls itself, so it’s not “native” in that it’s using controls from the OS, and therefore all a11y and select functionality is implemented custom.

Hope this isn’t what’s happening with dark[0]. Saw the early demos and I think the concept is killer, and don’t see why they would focus on a rewrite instead of building on what they have. I never even got asked to pay for it before they pi

Thanks for the update, great news! I really love Slate but the Android support was a non-starter for me, and I ended up using React-Quill. It has its own share of issues, but at least the native editing was decent on Android. I talked wi

Slate is a great block based editor. The downside and the reason I didn’t choose it for notebrook [0] is because its contenteditable implementation doesn’t work on Android. You may want to double check that with ProseMirror. Please feel fre

That’s true about the battery, but being such a light car I bet you’d only need a ~20kwh battery pack like in a Volt and still get usable range. That battery gives the Volt 53 mi of range, and that car’s much heavier. It’s under 500 lbs, an

Where did you get these #s from? This is a progressive tax and only affects income above the threshold. If you make 150k as a single earner, you don’t pay 1.5% on 150k, you pay 1.5% on 150k-125k, or 1.5% of 25k which is $375. And that’s if
