I wrote something similar over the weekend about how remote teams are great for people on a maker's schedule, but people on a manager's schedule tend to dislike it. https://fridayfeedback.com/p/how-to-make-rem

I believe that there are great places to work (like the example you gave). What I tried to convey in the article is that this is not a result of HR departments sending out surveys and trying to "engage" people. It's a much mo

I should have clarified this a bit more in my post. I think it's possible for people to perform at a high-level and be "engaged" at work, even if the company isn't constantly winning like the warriors. The only analogy I

Good idea, I've also been hearing for a while that collaborative workspaces improve employee engagement, which is garbage.

I've worked remotely for almost 7 years, for a few companies. Loneliness is a real thing, especially for people who are more outgoing/social. Here's what I've found works for me: 1. work at a coworking space/coffee

If you're interested in investing in the stock market (specifically picking individual stocks), I recommend the following books: 1. https://www.amazon.com/Little-Book-Still-Beats-Market/dp/047... 2. https:&#

Yup - I do believe that FB is severing their relationship with these data brokers shortly, so unsure if this will continue to be available.

I did a similar process when house-shopping. Setup ads for a particular location, specifically targeting people who owned in the area, but who lived out of state. 1. Personal FB ad copy 2. Landing page w/ more information about what we

These would be great questions to answer when creating an event invite. Would make a pretty useful chrome extension.

It sounds like the meetings are compressed into the other two days of the week, which also sounds quite miserable. I'd love to see an app that analyzes the internal meetings that happen inside a company and flags the repeat offenders.

I built this (fridayfeedback.com) to help leaders understand what's going on w/ their teams. Most customers are remote teams/organizations. I've also managed remote teams before so can understand where you're coming

Folklore told here in Maine said that lobsters were so abundant they would walk up on the beaches. It was considered to be "trash" food and they fed it to prisoners. http://www.history.com/news/a-taste-of-lobs

Yup - in addition, many take the winter off. It's hard work during the peak times of year, but I'd compare it to the schedule of a school teacher (~3 month break).
