Just want to chime in and say running your own registry is actually really easy. It's literally a simple compose file and a bunch of env vars to configure. It's has letsencrypt built in along with a few options for file storage, i

My argument to that would be simply that you are wrong. A new page is the correct UX design choice and with HTML5 features can make the experience seamless and far less jarring than a modal that needs heaps of testing to get right across al

It comes down to the second thing I remember learning in highschool level programming. Always use neutral language in your program text, and don't make jokes. Google does have a habbit of making jokes in their software, chrome crash pa

Surely there is more context to that story. It's unbelievable that it was only the memo. And quite likely just the last straw. I can easily imagine someone that produces poor quality once publically probably did so many times privately

There was a time where I would assume this title from the gaurdian was simply click bait with over the top claims made on out of context tidbits. I miss that time.

Most "normal" people I observe either type in google.com, use a separate search box, or click a bookmark that goes to google.com. Rarely do I see them searching using the url box. That's where web addresses go silly!

No I don't think so. The analogy was, just because you have a fantasy about being a spy doesn't mean you're willing to act on it and really want to be in life and death situations as often as Jason Bourne.
