Heh. For the past 3-ish years I operate a flock of microservices in Go. I don't really write the code, but do quite a bit of reading to debug and fix stuff. This month I've seen a channel in production code. I did a double take an

A Swiss colleague was doing his pilot license at the same time as his son was doing a driver license. Both were about the same price, but apparently flying a Cessna is somewhat easier than driving a car.

It _really_ depends on the distances and sizes of the cities you're going to. Paris-London train is about 3 hours, which is likely less than you'll spend on getting to+from an airport. Paris-Berlin on the other hand is miserable,

It is not fundamentally flawed, it just isn't a general purpose computer. It's a thin client to your cloud services. The "local" is not a primary compute environment, but just a cache. Once you think about it this way, C

I'm not sure "an archive with all the data" is what you really want either. At some point you'll hit the limit of how much data does your filesystem allow in one file. Not sure if your browser is that good at resuming fa

I drank quite a bit of raw milk in my childhood. But it had to be fresh. I could walk up, glass in hand, to an uncle carrying today's yield to the storage room. I would get the most delicious milk ever. But if I was a couple minutes la
