The flip side to ADHD is hyperfocus on things that draw your attention. This can manifest as a 12-hour coding session without breaks or even noticing the time.

I've been on and off Vyvanse and Ritalin for a decade. Work with your doctor on side effects, I found Concerta to have the least side effects for me (long-lasting, tapers slowly at end of day, and fewer anxious feelings for me than Vyv

Remittances are a significant part of the El Salvadoran GDP. As a percent of GDP, remittances have been up to 21.8% of total GDP in recent years [1]. If encouraging Bitcoin reduces the 5-10% typical remittance fees charged on 20% of GDP, th

That's not true, or is at least making GPT3 out to sound more trivial than it is. I've spent hours "interviewing" people about dragon sightings in Washington D.C., or Elon Musk about a fictional startup, or similar. I&#x

Coinbase provides KYC compliance which then gives it government blessing to be a gateway between crypto and the US dollar financial system. That is the value. Otherwise, there are DApps that allow trading between cryptos and don't requ

I miss _why being out there, producing content. He reminded me of the Beagle Bros books for the Apple II, which were my first introduction to programming in 1990 or so.

I'm interested. I definitely think these kind of things are cyclic. Glassdoor is now owned by the same parent company as Indeed, so if a company is a client of Indeed's recruiting services there's definitely a conflict of int

Seems like a bed/pillow rumble pak is what you'd want for being asleep, and the common strobe light should suffice while awake.

Anecdote time: I live in San Francisco, almost everyone wears a mask here. My friend just got back from a road trip through the central valley, he said nobody there was wearing masks and a random stranger called him a coward (in more colorf

I've literally never heard of that plan except from people shooting it down as a straw man. Mars is a good backup in that a tape drive is a good backup. A catastrophic event on Earth will likely not impact Mars as well. It's a bio

I agree with this comment, but with the addition that sleep quality is very important if you don't have it. If your sleep is pretty close to optimal already, you may not notice a slight improvement.

I would previously really push hard on exercise looking for some magic result, and I found it made my concentration worse because my body is trying to recover from the previous day's workout. It's good for stress relief though. Ju
