I don't see how it can be a JS SDK, taking file inputs via the browser, and do end-to-end encryption in anything but JS. It's just not possible, no?

I'm a little confused - it's an auto-updating JS library with a price tag? Is the end-to-end encryption done in JS? Is it OSS, or is the source minified and obfuscated?

The standard of the average academic/research paper is low enough that very few stand on their own. This, of course, is the reason why certain media outlets are able to make lots of money with bi-weekly, likely untrue claims that <

As an aside - for a wonderfully complete proposal on how to align corporate and social goals when it comes to IP in healthcare, you should see the literature on 'patent buy-outs', starting with this seminal paper by Michael Kremer

The problem with end-to-end crypto is that we often think of its security properties mathematically and neglect its practical performance. Obviously this is increasingly not true (Heartbleed probably did more to educate the world on crypto

Well yes, that's obviously true, which is why it's (idealistically speaking) important to verify the routing mechanism. Of course most of this is mitigated by end-to-end crypto but given that we see all too frequently how fallible

So, in summary, when I connect to an IP the only assurance I have (putting aside the application layer e.g. HTTPS) that I'm connecting to the right box is the fact that I made it to some machine with an interface configured to that a

Well I imagine it would only be a portion of traffic. I wouldn't think a router in the UK would capture any US to US traffic through this method, for example. Is that what you mean?

I'm a little hazy on the technical details of BGP routing - am I correct in thinking that if you're a first-class BGP citizen, you can just advertise yourself as handling others' traffic and that's it, it just comes?

A tarball is not a disk image and - in my view - is seriously shaky as evidence in a criminal trial. I had always imagined - apparently incorrectly - that evidence-gathering requirements in this area would have been more along the lines of

As well as traditional verification, I often use a perl script that takes an email as `ARG[1]`, runs this, and exits with `0` or `1` (for easy cross-language usage) because: 1) I don't like the idea of my frontend giving the impression
