Maybe you're right, maybe war is the answer to less CO2: https://www.co2levels.org/ However, it is interesting that people find "solutions", before they've even described and analysed the entire problem

You will find historical records of high temperature spikes. What matters as signal are clusters of high temperatures, and all-time highs. We're going into high temperature thresholds beyond what is normal for the past 10K years. Almos

It's funny. I found only one post that reflected agility in their process as per AM. Yet, "Agile" is recognized as industry standard, while the required maturity is lacking, in both devs and product side. Achieving that level

In Scrum, Scrum Master is a contributing member, just as everyone else. It's a role without power, but servant leadership and can be rotated. This doesn't work in practice, as people are too bogged down in their work to take on th

Managers already won, no matter what transpires. That's what they don't want you to understand. I got nothing against managers as people. But as a role, it is highly person dependent and most people are utterly bad at it, same as

People react differently during crisis time. Even if government fails to address issues, people will hunker down at home much more. So I'd cut people some slack and figure out what works for them .

They are. Abstractions like functors makes the language more similar to other structured languages. Otherwise, the same would've needed explicit recursion all over the place, which is more error-prone.

I didn't say that. Learning Haskell may help the budding learner, though won't enforce the monadic laws.

LINQ is being worked on by the same people developing/designing Haskell. These methods are slowly being injected. LINQ is monadic and has a bind function that generalize beyond IEnumerable.

There's alot of unspoken assumptions, like what m usually means. The brevity is supposed to make higher concepts expressible however. Monad m is just a basic building block. It's hard to find best intro material. The above could s

Wether you know functor laws, or you misapply functors, you have to talk about it to be properly applicative ;) The community is very much focused on learning, by teaching the little one knows.

CT may be appropriate to further evolve Haskell as a language, but for programming implementations; mathematical categories aren't directly useful. There Haskell is more like any other programming language, just that it's FP.

Time for an analogy and why math is supreme: x+y+z is associative. x-y-z is non-associative. Functor, monoid and monad laws allow for undefined evaluation order, lazy evaluation, parallell execution and same results for same parameters. But

In most languages you will lack the Monad type and helper functions, and you'll have available many shortcuts that undermine efforts to set up monadic expressions. So something can behave similarly to a monad, but the type systems don&

I've always seen apology as insincere, especially if it's not admission of guilt. If I did something by mistake, sorry, is fast and cheap. Otherwise, why would someone say sorry for malicious behaviour? Only bad people say they&

By way of technology alone? Careful what you wish for, you might get it! We've seen that lies and manipulation can distort reality too much already. Platforms need to be honest to be constructive.

Ecological systems tend to die out when confronted with extreme, lasting change. It may take thousands of years for natural systems "to adapt". On planetary scale this is just a blink of the eye, but for humans and current life it
