Ideology fits pretty well, as the term is used in modern times. In case of Linux, GPL is regarded as a good fit. In case of games, it'd be surprising now, to see GPL as a good fit. Open source and GPL are not used predominantly, thus

Stationary objects, also called obstacles. These systems can give people false sense of security and expectations, exactly at the wrong times. That kind of unreliability may be worse than having to drive and be attentive as a driver.

Simply divide by sqrt(Capita) if you want an average between these stances. Good point btw.

Social media has platformed many narcissists and psychopaths. They still pose considerable trouble and damage to individuals, even when actually skilled. It boils down to wether skills are all that should be valued in life, or not. Making j

The NASA study seems to be yet another vector to validate human-caused warming of climate. Validation is one thing, but also understanding exactly how and why we're moving away from an equilibrium vs core cycles, and what that may mean

Not entirely sure what people need to hear. We need better models and problem definitions.

Yet, the core is even hotter. So we're mostly talking about the relatively thin crust layer on top. Core and mantle has practically unlimited energy supply as well. The planet is basically alot larger, and contains lots more energy tha

Depends who you ask. Everyone seems to invent the definition that local-optimize for themselves. The book Good To Great goes into the dynamics, outside of IT, so is a general pattern.

DevOps is about sharing common goals and working towards them in collaboration. It's not a role, not a team and not tools.

Practitioners of meditation and breathing exercises may find recognition in some of it. But, meditation/mindfulness is more about observing thought and feelings come and go, as you breathe. With practice you may gain some mind control,

This is true, but climate extremes make these events more likely than before too. It's not a gradual shift, but wilder swings. So, signs of things to come, even if the overall change takes time.
