>focus on the design Can you explain what you mean by this? Do you evaluate the design without reviewing the generated code?

>How would artisanal software even distinguish itself. artisanal software is software that has a bound on the complexity. A human has to reason about it.

LLMs + Economics = perpetual slop. No new ideas, no new art. Nothing worth living for (Remembering quote from Dead Poets Society). Perpetual grotesque rehash of the past greatness... At this point humanity is destroyed.

If you search randomness, you ll get any behavior that you can imagine. That does not mean that the tool is NOT doing a search. In the case of LLMs, it is not searching the whole of the randomness, but instead it just search among the gramm

If A -> B and B -> C are within human knowledge, then I don't really consider that A -> C to be outside of human knowledge. Sure, LLMs are very good at discovering hidden links. But that is about it. And don't get me wron

It seems that we all are assuming LLMs will grow arbitrary capabilities to manifest our fantasies, given enough $$$.... Great for milking the investors to the last drop...

Synthetic data can only help the model to capture existing patterns in the current training data more efficiently . So it can improve the performance upto certain point, but not beyond it. >they can collect their own data with robots...

>You can basically do the same thing again with the improved model, and get an even better one... It does not make much of a difference if the "performance" is limited by the training data.

>The reason AI is not a normal technology is because it is fully general. It is fully "general", because its training data encompass all human knowledge. It is a matter of scaling, rather than a matter of method. And so it is o

Sure, but it is a token predictor, and it is not intelligent not because it works by predicting a token, but it shows dumb behavior... LLMs are a great search tool. It searches connections in the collective human knowledge that humans have

Those cries are the corrective reaction to cries of "We are Artificial super GI now!" And yes, it is just a next token predictor.

When the creator has spent a day to create it, chances are that they are going to abandon it just as fast. Why spend time to learn something like that?

Sorry. I don't agree that it "create" views autonomously. A human has to create a view in a database. In the case of LLM, a human has to create a "prompt" that the LLM just continue, based on the patterns humans ha

I would think in any domain that used to suffer due to lack of a fuzzy, search. In cases where LLMs are used to generate stuff, when push comes to shove, LLMs fails to deliver. This is fundamental. For example, if you talk to an LLM regardi
