This is why algorithms, filter bubbles and “AI” in its current state is a very very bad thing. It can be gamed as evidenced. The complicity of the platforms is beyond me, why aren’t they DOING something about it? Don’t expect anything from

It is absolutely without any doubt happening on HN and I have previously been banned trying to point it out.

@dang, why is there zero effort in minimising misinformation on HN? I am SICK of these CCP shills.

Dualit, made in England. Beautiful design and sturdy, built to last. I promised myself to NOT buy anything made in China, in all cases where it is possible. https://www.dualit.com/products/original-toasters

Important backups should be stored in a variety of ways. I store my backups on multiple external HDD’s (solid state and spinning disks) in redundancy. Using multiple filesystems (ext4, and exFAT). I do use ZFS for daily/active storage

I work in finance. About 5 years ago I started building a FIX library on my spare time, out of curiosity. Over the years it has been countless fin tech start-ups as well as big companies reaching out to me about the library, suggesting fixe

Stop buying products made in China. I personally made that decision years ago. Support local manufacturers as much as you can. What CCP does is disgusting.

Agreed. I made a personal decision years ago, never to buy any Made in China products. There’s always better alternatives, of higher quality and also by supporting local manufacturers.

The articles you are referring to doesn’t show the full picture. In all protests only a part of the crowd is visible on the streets, the majority of the day is spent trying to get up to the streets from the MTR.

It is not an exaggeration. I was there, joining several protests including the CHRF 2M protest. In addition, the police estimates is always wrong (of course they want the numbers to be as low as possible). One example was a protest around V

That’s absurd. On the contrary, we should work closer with our ally USA, increase trade and more cooperation. We should completely decouple from China and stop trade from there, and restart domestic manufacturing.
