Hardware stack. While Waymo stuffed their cars with all possible radars and lidars, Tesla sticked to cameras. I didn’t wash my model Y for a while and it is continuously complaining about not working cameras. Looks like that camera based a

No. It replaced here a ticket worth at least 150€ for local commuter train. There are more and more articles in the press, that 49€ is way too low.

I see your huge karma points and want to oppose. Unions will get better salaries for low performers and decrease salaries for high performers. So there will be 10% salary difference between a guy working 45 hours a week and a guy wo shows u

It’s another nail in the coffin of consumer hardware startups. In addition to CE and waste issues now comes a requirement for repairability. Only the big guys with departments of clerks can launch a product nowadays.

That’s my observation at all the bigger companies I worked for. The manager of the manager of the lowest level workers has no contact with the workshop reality. They live in the PowerPoint world with hockey stick growth slides and ideal pro

Citroën ë-C3 and Renault R5 are steps in the right direction. I don’t trust VW anymore to do anything revolutionary like affordable electrical vehicle for the masses. VW e-Up was close, but too far from €20k. Why I don’t trust VW? I look at

It might be cool, but I wasn’t able to find price comparison to existing technologies. The modules containing dozens of specified filters are dirt cheap. Since band frequencies for 5G are known no fine tuning needed. Also no fab wants exoti

I use OpenSCAD to design and 3D print weird industrial things I can’t buy easily. But aesthetics do not come into play with OpenSCAD. It’s rough tool to create things from differences and unions of rather simple primitives.

It might happen on schedule elsewhere. But on German side the connection to the tunnel is still in planing and not finished yet. And no end in sight.

Depends on what are you manufacturing. 200 watts from square meter roof is doable. 3x3 meter is about right space for a single machine with all the enclosures, tables, etc (in Europe). The average sized machines can be used with single phas

Factories have big flat roofs. That means low installation cost for solar panels. And these are nowadays pretty efficient. Not perfect angle or random shadow aren’t business or show stoppers now. Especially in a sunny country.
