You can put your content anywhere you want but you can't choose where the audience is. YouTube is in practice a big monopoly because there's no audience in the "alternatives." If you want to be seen you have no choice bu

I didn't know they had a built in email client, they didn't have it last time I tried Vivaldi and that's why I eventually stopped using it. Thanks for that info.

Cookies work when JavaScript is disabled or has failed to load (your basic functionality should work without it), localStorage doesn't. So unless we are talking about SPAs cookies are generally the better choice.

If you miss the old Opera UI/UX then Otter may be a decent replacement. If you want what would have been the actual continuation of the old Opera then go for Vivaldi (made by some of the old Opera team members).

AMP was specifically opt-in and only websites with enough man power and interest to implement it did, if you wanted it you had to program an entirely different page using Google's JS framework and restricted subset of HTML. FLoC is opt

The problem wasn't the idea, a visual diagram for logic flow is a good idea but your IDE can do that from your code better than the over-engineered idea of UML. UML had another problem, it reversed the way programmers work. As a progra

Until a year or two ago (can't remember exactly) it wasn't possible to register a "naked" .ar domain and they were reserved for very special cases (government mostly). It had to be a .com.ar or .org.ar etc.

I prefer those sponsored segments to regular web ads. They are old school, no tracking and are usually relevant to the content I am watching. I can't afford to donate to the YouTubers I like so I'm glad they can make money from th

You don't "show offline" in WhatsApp, either "online" appears below the contact name or nothing appears. Nothing doesn't mean offline, it means the person doesn't have WhatsApp running in the foreground, t

You are assuming it will be a read-write property but there are a few properties and methods in JavaScript that can't be overwritten and nothing prevents Google from making this one read-only.

The opposite happened to me a few times, signup doesn't truncate, the database accepts it but login truncates on the backend and you can't login.

Since you seem to work for Microsoft, the broken use case I know: without 3p cookies Microsoft Teams is broken (it shows a not very useful error page asking to refresh the page, when you do it shows the same error again). Many of us need it

While this is likely yet another bad move by Microsoft I hope this pushes web devs to start focusing on web apps and puts a stop to all those websites packaged with a browser that are around 200MB each.
