What a bunch of long-winded babble. Incredulously, he's shilling an app at the end of this. I don't agree that this is an interesting submission, and IMO there's no new information here.

They built a lot of bombs, then proceeded to sell them to friendly regimes and drop them on others. Of course, after the bombs are dropped and the regimes are replaced, the bombs are sold to the new regime. Hegemony ain't cheap.

The software solution was to disable MCAS if sensors disagreed by more than X. The FAA didn't release any data on how many flights landed successfully with MCAS disabled, nor did they address the scenario really at all in their report

You will be shown no ads from the hours of 8pm-8am, a bunch during your busiest times, or some such. In any case, how are people going to verify on their end they're getting what they paid for? Maybe in 10 years they'll have a cl

UBI images work fine for many use cases, and importantly, they're free to redistribute, not just use. If you're selling a containerized software solution to people, it might make sense to use the UBI as it will get real security

For some reason, people seem to assume that people will like virtual reality. It all seems very forced to me, much like 3D TVs, and won't live up to the hype.

"Pressure from advertisers" implies the advertisers are paying more than the marginal utility of the ads themselves in some kind of corporate-back-scratching model. If the ads provide a ROI, then other advertisers will gladly jump

Hard at scale doesn't necessarily mean useful. Putting lots of people on hard projects that don't increase revenue is a pointless endeavor.

They don't need to worry about valuation, they're just going to cut costs and extract revenue. Politicians and sports media aren't going to abandon twitter any time soon, so I expect revenue will hold for quite some time. It

This fate is befalling the entire post-industrialized world. Boeing learned this the hard way when they opened up that plant in SC. Institutional knowledge can't always be replicated.
